Transition Challenge Award

Aim

The aim of Transition Challenge is to provide a framework of activities to develop and accredit independent living and personal skills for youngsters with SLD and PMLD through areas of activity relating to national curriculum subjects, complemented by activities contributing to the skills of adult living.

Progression

Transition Challenge offers progression into Towards Independence, the Bronze Award and Workright.

Structure

Students must complete eight areas of activity in each of the modules. A full Award = 40 activities completed.

QA Method

For access to moderation and external certification, centres must register with ASDAN. Following internal moderation, centres are required to register candidates for external moderation three weeks before a regional meeting.

Following a successful external verification meeting, students are issued with their Award.
